Sand and Seasons

The conquest of the barren trees.
The cool evening breezes
turn to winter's cold...
Giving reason
for abandomnent
until a return of a summer sun...
Even as the disappearing tide
calls for a beckoning return.
So as the sea
is marked by the mysterious sound
of midnight waves
beating down...
man's pilings and barriers.
All the while
October footprints
are cleansed by an ever changing shore...
all by rhythm and reason...
Yes the changing of the seasons.
