..."while the dew is still on the Roses"...
As the hour of his death drew nearer, Jesus went with his disciples to pray in the garden of Gethsemane.

Lest we forget !
Memorial Day Prayer...
Soldier, rest! Thy warfare o'er,
Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking,
Dream of battled fields no more.
Days of danger, nights of waking. -Sir Walter Scott
Sleep the sleep that knows not breaking,
Dream of battled fields no more.
Days of danger, nights of waking. -Sir Walter Scott
In the tangle of the fast pace...
and rat race...
of even a day off.
Let us make a celebration of courage...
one marked red, white and blue.
Even only a short moment of reflection
held for those who...
have found freedom’s door
and live no more...
in the shadow of tyranny.
A respite of peace
provided for us fortunate ones
by the deceased brave.
A concave
of all we stand for in America .
A testimony to a fortress of loyal spirit
that allows us choice...
that provides for us a security and sense of pride.
Even that we present ourselves this morning
as believers in the God of all nations...
let us be thankful for those who have preserved ours.
Those for whom flowers
can be laid..
and prayers relayed.
But mostly hearts can be released.
Thanks Be to God
for those men and women of conviction and courage.
Amen and Amen

Happy Mother's Day
A Mother Who Cares....
There is no store made caring
n0 invention of man
that can
match the love...
of a Mother.
There is no other sharing
no contention that stands
the test
of the love...
of a Mother.
There is no heart as tearing
no caressing hand
that holds
as that...
of a loving Mother.
And there simply is no preparing...
no group that can band
together to
match the package
of a Mother.
Ours has in truest form
stepped aside from the norm
and as each child and grown man.
finds no other Mother quite like his own...
and indeed...that is the way God planned it.
For all you have done
for all that you mean.
For all the true love
above all we could convey.
We lift you up in honor
on this OUR....Mother’s...Day.
